On the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, the Hubertus Wildlife Trail takes young and old on a fascinating journey into the world of native Alpine animals. This picturesque, wide gravelled path through alpine meadows offers an unforgettable nature experience for the whole family with its numerous play and learning stations, picnic areas and relaxation areas. At eight interactive stations, visitors encounter native wild animals such as hares, foxes, deer and marmots, complemented by playful knowledge transfer and activities such as balancing exercises and animal tracking. Benches and wooden loungers invite you to take a break, while a children's playground, a petting zoo at the Kaltenbacher ski hut (Murmelland) and a panoramic viewing platform round off the offer. The trail is easily accessible, starting either at local huts or the Hubertus Chapel, and also offers refreshments and refreshment stops at the Kaltenbacher Skihütte, the Zirmstadl and the Platzlalm.
