Natural monument Schraubenfälle
Description
On the way along the waterfall trail in Hintertux
Thundering, the Tux waterfalls tumble into the valley: rock cauldrons, natural rock bridges, caves, gorges and the protected Schraubenwasserfall let us marvel and come to rest! With a view of the beautiful Kesselfall we start our Nature Watch Tour up to the Schraubenwasserfall. On a narrow path we cross the rustic forest and pass the so-called "whale's mouth", a split stone block shaped like a fish's mouth. The highlights of the hike are the impressive gorge and the beautiful valley basin on Waldeben. From there we descend leisurely back to the valley station of the glacier lifts to Hintertux.
